Description.

The main tasks carried out are:

• To give support to researchers IMEDEA in the experimental tasks taking place in the marine environment (both on shore and offshore), including data acquisition by either automated instrumentation or manual records.
• Keeping IMEDEA's oceanographic equipment in perfect condition and calibration, either directly or through the manufacturers.
• To establish a channel of communication between oceanographic equipment manufacturers and researchers to keep the latter informed of all developments and facilitating purchases of new equipment.
• To support researchers in the design and planning of the different experimental campaigns and to actively participate in developing them.

In addition, an electronic and a mechanical workshop are available for the maintenance and development of equipment and instruments.
