The "Mallorca Science School: Interdisciplinary Science for Marine and Coastal Conservation in a Changing World" will take place during the week of October 20-26, 2024, at the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies. It is specifically designed for graduate students in the early years of their scientific career from any country worldwide.

 

The IMEDEA science school places special emphasis on interdisciplinary research and will utilize cutting-edge methodologies to comprehensively explore coastal and marine systems of the Balearic Islands.

Module 1: Coastal Processes and Their Impact on Marine Ecosystems

Module 2: Dynamics of Coastal Ecosystems: Nature, Physics, and Human Interaction

Module 3: Integrative Studies in Marine and Coastal Ecosystems

Additionally, attendees will participate in two excursions: one to Cabrera National Park and another to the hosting research institute, IMEDEA.

 

The curriculum includes a session on Science Communication and Evening Seminars covering topics such as proposal writing and scientific career development.
