Esporles, 13 de diciembre de 2017. Para acabar el año de Seminarios del IMEDEA (UIB-CSIC), queremos terminar con algo especial y hemos preparado un Especial Monólogos Científicos para el próximo Martes, 19 de diciembre a las 12:00.
Muchos de vosotros lo sabéis, pero para los que no, en el IMEDEA tenemos la suerte de contar con dos excelentes investigadoras que además son unas maestras en la divulgación de su ciencia. Ana Payo y Andrea Campos, realizarán los monólogos científicos con los cuales han conseguido multitud de premios nacionales e internacionales. Además ofrecerán un mini-taller de cómo mejorar la divulgación de nuestra ciencia a través de los monólogos científicos.

Speaker: Ana Payo
Gulls are cool!
Ana Payo is a PhD at IMEDEA (Population Ecology Group) that has revolutionized our understanding of animal populations and how they cope with perturbations regimes. Her work addresses fundamental questions governed by density-dependence, food, extreme weather, poisoning, predation or dispersal and colonization across broad scales of space and time. She is Master in dissemination her science and she was recently selected for the "Homeward Bound" Project, set against the backdrop of Antarctica.

“Personality matters”
Andrea Campos is PhD Student at the IMEDEA (Fish Ecology Lab) working in the fundamental question of the origin of animal behaviour. Why animal personality exists? Andrea is developing a novel theoretical approach to answer this question based on fluxes and energetic balances. She is working underwater and studies the case of fish spatial personality. Currently, she is getting started in communicating her science and won the prestigious European Hall of FameLab 2017.
