Norway see itself as a marine and maritime nation with long history within food production, transport and energy production. 

The Norwegian Government updated its Ocean Strategy in 2019 and foresee great opportunities in the new blue economy, especially how knowhow and technologies developed within the traditional blue economies will serve as basis for development of the new blue economies as Marine aquaculture, Offshore wind and other blue energy sources, Marine-based minerals and Carbon capture, utilization and storage. 

The presentation will give some example how the industry is organised to achieve these goals and how academia and research institute can contribute.
