Abstract: The challenges of global change are enormous and affect all environmental sectors. In order to understand and anticipate the response of coastal and island systems to the impacts generated by global change in the Mediterranean, there is a need for an interdisciplinary pooling of knowledge and advances in the land-sea interface within the scientific community . In order to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge, the implementation of common initiatives and to strengthen links with cutting-edge institutions, IMEDEA proposes the organization of a meeting in which to share knowledge and generate synergies in an international scientific environment in order to increase knowledge and develop research capacity in this regard. This meeting will take place from November 2 to 3, 2022 on Mallorca and will include the participation of long-standing scientists who work in fields such as ecology, oceanography, physics or engineering.
